Old Cairo is the oldest part of Cairo. And is sometimes
called Coptic Cairo. The area dates from 6th century BC
The Romans built a fortress named Babylon.
The Hanging Church (el-Muallaqa) built about the 7th century
was built on top of the walls of the Roman fort
Ben Ezra the Temple built on the sight it is believed that
Moses was found in the bull rushes
Then off to the Muhammad Ali Mosque from the mid-19th
century a copy of The Blue Mosque in Istanbul, big and
beautiful
